ALL IN THE DETAILS: Best Boot Forward

Saturday is the best day of the week for many reasons; the main reason being it is often the one day out of the week where we have the least amount of responsibilities. And with fewer responsibilities comes less stress, and with less stress comes relaxation.

But just because you have nothing super important to do doesn’t mean you should waste all of your relaxation time away in sweatpants while eating pumpkin cookies in bed and finishing up the last episode of Master of None on Netflix (don’t blame me, blame November). Instead, dare to not be boring by throwing on an outfit and getting out of your apartment/dorm/dwelling and going into the world.

The hardest part about that is probably the “throw on an outfit” part. I was inspired by this Fashionista after spotting her on a particularly lazy, overcast Saturday as she seems to have the relaxed, off-duty, Saturday ensemble down to a T. She looks sophisticated and stylish in an outfit that is secretly so simple to assemble.

The key is to pick a statement piece and pair it with easy, everyday pieces that match with everything, which obviously means all-black (because it’s New York and it’s November, duh). Her outfit is easily put together, but its her booties that kick it up a notch. She’s wearing a pair of black leather Alexander Wang cutout Gabi boots with rose gold accents that are comfortable and incredibly easy to throw on with anything; not to mention, they are exquisite. The shoes coordinate perfectly with her black leather bag with gold zipper accents and wrinkled leather jacket. Throwing on some sunglasses, she is ready for whatever Saturday brings (even if it is just a trip from the bed to the couch).

How To: Grab a pair of heeled ankle boots with metallic accents. If this Alexander Wang pair is a bit of a splurge for you right now, try these. Throw on skinny jeans and a leather jacket, both black obviously, and you’re ready to be not-so-lazy on Saturday. Or just look cute while you get buzzed at brunch.
