It seems like all year long we pray for warmer weather. We walk along the sidewalks bundled up in layers of thick outerwear, dreaming of laying on the beach under the sun. Then, we finally get what we have been wishing for since November, and all we want is for the weather to get cooler. Mother Nature rarely relents, giving us the 85 degree (or warmer) weather we’ve been begging her for with almost no breaks. But occasionally, she’s feeling generous, and we get a chance to indulge in some (still not quite warranted) sweater weather.
It’s true that while I excitedly stuff my jeans away in June with the intention of not looking back, by mid-July, I miss them. This Fashionista obviously had the same longing.
She opted for a cream colored V-neck sweater and a pair of light wash skinny jeans with small rips at the knees. She knew that if the weather were to have warmed up a bit, she could have cuffed her jeans and rolled up her sleeves. Her sandals are cute and comfortable and are a necessary summer component in a very fall-appropriate ensemble. The cream, tan and light wash denim combination is very on-trend right now, as seen in Gucci’s spring/summer 2015 show.
The main focus on this Fashionista’s outfit is her beaded choker. Hints of blue add some subtle color to a very neutral toned outfit. She pulled her shoulder length hair behind her ears to show it off even more. The longer and thinner necklace that she wore has some gold circles that catch the light and shine. She finished off the look with a pair of sunglasses and a backpack.
How To: When layering necklaces, use necklaces of different thicknesses and lengths to avoid adding bulk. You want your jewelry to look delicate, not clunky.
