ALL IN THE DETAILS: Be Bootie-ful

It is true that all good things must come to an end. Just like your favorite TV show has its finale, you have to bid farewell to your favorite fall trend once the new season approaches. Or do you? I thought that the mark of December and the transition into the winter season would mean the temporary end of the popular bootie (or ankle boot) trend that took over the fall. Fortunately, I was wrong. Booties of all colors and styles continue to be a top footwear trend as we move out of our dorms and back into our childhood bedrooms. Every Sex and the City fan aspires to have a shoe collection that rivals Carrie Bradshaw’s. And if SATC was still airing today, Bradshaw would definitely be rocking a nice pair of booties!

The great thing about this footwear trend is that they can instantly boost an outfit from a nine to a ten. This Fashionista took her casual sweater and distressed jeans to the next level with her red suede booties. Every girl knows that any outfit can be revamped with a killer pair of shoes, and booties get that job done. The great thing about booties is that they are so versatile–you can wear them with practically any style. Booties can be worn with a pencil skirt and a blouse or with your lucky pair of jeans and a T-shirt. They can come in any heel height, any color and made out of any material that you would normally find in a regular boot.

This Fashionista decided to be daring with having her booties be the center of her outfit. She rocked a very classic look with a dark vest and light sweater, which made her booties really pop.

How To: If you want to draw everyone’s attention straight to your shoes, make sure they are a bright color like red. You can then pair those booties with neutral colors like black, white or gray. People won’t be able to take their eyes off those booties as they will undoubtedly be the focus of your look.
