ALL IN THE DETAILS: All That and a Hat

Summer is know for lots of things. Who doesn’t love heading to the beach or lake with watermelon and popsicles in tow.  One thing most people know about summer is that it is hot and full of sunshine. One great way to block a little bit of the sun from your face is with a cute and trendy hat. This Fashionista is one of my personal favorites, but I absolutely love how she used her accessories to bring this outfit together.

Her Free People dress, Jeffrey Campbell shoes, gold rings, and hat from Revolve are absolutely killing the game. What I love about this outfit is that it is simple, but also extremely eye-catching. You could wear it out shopping or to a lunch date with friends. All of different pieces make the outfit what it is, but the hat is what sticks out to me. A hat makes an outfit fun, and is definitely a conversation starter. Courtney is wearing a felt hat here, but the hat possibilities these days are endless. Straw, baseball and beanies just to name a few.

Many people find a hat intimidating, but it shouldn’t be. The most important part of a cute outfit is your confidence and smile. That is what will make people look twice, and how you will feel comfortable with what you are wearing. Hats are all over stores, boutiques and markets these days and are also priced pretty reasonably.

How To: If you can dream it, you can do it! Don’t be afraid to rock a hat. If you have a cute little black dress, a black hat can always help complete that look.
