ALL IN THE DETAILS: Accessories

Us college students are known to be very poor people—people who barely get by eating two times a day. How are we supposed to show off our amazing styles when we can’t afford anything? I constantly hear people telling me that they swear they have a good taste in clothing, but they can’t prove it because they’re too poor.

Take plain white blouse that might be inappropriate to wear at a fancy occasion. We all have those inexpensive plain clothes that we wear on lazy days, but when a fancy girl’s night out happens to be next week, we scramble through our closets, finding nothing to wear. We’ll then go to the mall and find some crazy over the top outfit that we’ll wear once because it’s just too much to wear on our casual days.

Let me tell you girls, the key is to accessorize. Find accessories for different occasions. This can be a chokers, bulky necklaces, watches, rings or hats. Pairing accessories with plain shirts and pants will draw attention to the accessories, which is perfect for making an outfit look good.

With basic clothing, you can go from looking boho to classy by accessorizing differently. With a boho look, leather bracelets and knit headbands can spice up a plain outfit and make a you look bohemian. With a rose gold watch or an eye candy necklace, you can look elegant and classy.

Before you decide to spice up your life and throw out the old, plain clothing that has been in the back on your closet for years, think about how you can accessorize them to make them wearable again. Have fun with it Fashionistas, and until next week!

How To: If you want to amp up your look but not want to change your style all of a sudden, try being more fashionable with your friends on weekends, and posting pictures on social media. People will notice your change in style subtly, and then incorporate the accessories in everyday wear!
