ALL IN THE DETAILS: A Spring in Her Step

Spring is in the air, folks! I, for one, could not be more excited because spring is my favorite season. The students of the New Jersey Institute of Technology are tucking away their sweaters in favor of sundresses and sandals, leaving behind the earthy and neutral tones and instead bringing out floral patterns, animal prints, and vibrant shades. Spring to me is the symbol of the end of winter and a new beginning of growth and change. During this season, we see colors and warmth returning, yet it’s not too hot so Fashionistas can still sport layers without overheating.

To start this week’s gorgeous weather off right, this Fashionista embraced the color that defines spring the most: green. Green is a revitalizing color that hints at the image of trees leaving behind their dead leaves and instead growing new ones. This Fashionista, on her way to class, decided to wear an olive green romper to celebrate the transition into spring. She’s walking in comfortable and stylish gold Sperry shoes, which further promote spring’s brightness and radiating beauty. Moreover, green and gold make a solid color combination to express this energy of introducing growth and change. Her lovely romper paired with her gold Sperry shoes and gold laces established a theme with the rest of her outfit, and she stuck to gold throughout.

We see her accessories are (of course) gold! Her delicate high-rise necklace, aviators, bracelet, and multiple earrings are subtle yet telling. Although she could have chosen bold and chunky statement necklaces, these choices instead bring about the nuance and delicate beauty that spring offers. The tiny hummingbirds and grass full of flowers are characteristics of spring’s little beauties that contribute to the big-picture scene: Spring is beautiful and appreciated subtly for its revitalized growth and change, and this Fashionista is loving it.
