Cold weather in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is anything less than 55 degrees. Even though it isn’t frigid, it still sends the shivers down my spine. This Fashionista wears a typical outfit you can see any girl wearing around campus on a cold day. She is wearing a black and white striped dress (very Kourtney Kardashian!) with black tights underneath. The tights, of course, add warmth to her legs, even though they are sheer. Her combat boots give this outfit an edgy feel. Combat boots are definitely trending, but not as much as riding boots are. I, personally, prefer combat boots because they are more unique and not seen as often as other types of boots around campus. In this “cold” weather, a corduroy jacket is a must. Corduroy is the perfect fabric because it can keep you warm on brisk days and is also super comfortable to wear. The beige color of her jacket is perfect because it can be worn with almost any color. Plus, it would look super cute with anything neon–a trend we will continue to see this coming spring. Scarves are perfect for this weather because, if it does get too warm, you can just take it off. The scarf that this Fashionista chose to wear is perfect because it adds color to an ensemble that is made of neutrals. The outfit is tied together by the fact that parts of the scarf are the same hue as the corduroy jacket.
This Fashionista chose one of the best hairstyles for this type of weather because it will keep her neck warm. Not only do her locks have the very-trendy ombré theme, but also the cut is very in at the moment. Simple long hair rocking a middle part is something we have seen on the runway the last few seasons.
ONE SIMPLE CHANGE: Swapping out the corduroy jacket for a black blazer would give this outfit a more professional edge and would make this outfit perfect for a career fair!
