As the school year begins anew for some, for others it is just another year on the crazy runway we call our college campus. Many Fashionistas are pondering what to wear on the first day of classes. Around this time of year, many girls find themselves struggling with the question, “Is this too much?” when picking out an outfit for class, but there are ways to avoid that common question and look just as fierce while stepping into the classroom.
This summer I fell in love with the maxi skirt because it was so versatile and casual yet classy. The numerous colors, fabrics and prints that a maxi skirt comes in makes Fashionistas look effortlessly chic. Maxis were one of the unexpected fashion trends to come back this season but my, how it is making a splash on the scene!
This week's Fashionista is wearing a simple jersey maxi skirt paired with a short sleeve, floral lace top all pulled together by her chic skinny cheetah print belt. She completes her casual, ready for class look with gold accents by wearing her gold thong sandals and gold hoop earrings to match perfectly. To add even more flair to her outfit, this Fashionista decided to do a quick DIY on her skirt by taking a black hair tie and tying the maxi skirt to the side, not only giving the skirt a bunched look, but also making it easier to run to class. She just maximized the use of her maxi skirt, giving it a totally different look in less than 2 seconds!
Wake Forest University's Fashionista of the week makes going to class look easy and even more stylish. Want to imitate this look and make it your own?
