ACCESSORIES REPORT: Afternoon In The Park

Accessories Report

The Thanksgiving feast marks the start of the holiday season, bringing with it a chill in the air. Though additional cold bursts may make winter-weary northerners cringe, an out-of-character temperature drop sends us Floridians gladly running for our boots and coats.

This Fashionista was spotted reveling in the chilly mist at the park, clothed in a vintage 1950 Dan Millstein fur coat. The cheetah print is classic, but the knee-length garment is anything but subtle. Its oversized collar adds a dramatic flair to the preppy cut, while three-quarters length sleeves keep the coat current.

Such a statement piece requires that the rest of the outfit remain neutral, and this Fashionista wisely paired hers with a simple black dress and nude heels.

Though the pumps leave something to be desired in their level of comfort, the polished look is undeniable. And when has fashion ever been about practicality? The two-toned heels transfer their wearer into an era of historic glamour.

Spotted: Cheetah-patterned coats, capes and blouses were spotted in the fall 2012 line of Just Cavalli. The wild animal prints were marvellous, adding a wild edge to every model rocking the catwalk.
