Word on the street is Melbourne’s weather has finally given in and the sun is beginning to shine, welcome spring! What better way is there to celebrate the warm sunshine than to do a full spring fling makeover?
Louis Vuitton’s spring 2012 campaign was all about pastel colours, sheer, glowing faces and bright lips, so very spring fling. This weeks Fashionista has definitely followed Louis Vuitton’s lead and embraced the fabulous weather by matching her makeup to the sunny day. So how can we try it out for ourselves?
This Fashionista recommends using Lime Crime on your lips to get that great pop of colour. Lime Crime makes a variety of fun, bright, pastel lip colours that are long wear and very affordable. On her face, she uses MAC powders, specifically Marcel Wonders Mystery Powder and High-Light Powder. Both give a very sheer, fresh finish that will make your skin gleam all day long.
If you don’t happen to be in Melbourne enjoying the sunshine and you’re faced with colder conditions you can just as easily give yourself a winter makeover! Lime Crime also has a fabulous variety of dark shades like dark greys, blacks and reds to match icy weather. On the face I love to use MAC’s mineralise skin finish range to give your face a metallic glow, which goes perfectly with deep lip colours.
Regardless of the weather outside, I definitely would recommend giving yourself a fun seasoned makeover by matching your makeup to the mood ‘du jour’.
