ACCESSORIES REPORT: Faux Chic

Uncategorized

In the colder seasons we all usually fall into the trap of wearing our hibernation clothes. What exactly does this consist of? Some warm baggy bottoms, layers of dark wool and to finish off, a chunky dark coat. Sound familiar? Thankfully, with a bit of shopping around, you’ll find there’s no need to resort to a depressing winter wardrobe.

This Fashionista sets herself apart with an incredible faux fur stole in a rusty orange tone. Her outfit is very practical for the bitingly cold weather, wearing thermo leggings and a cashmere cardigan, but it's still so chic. On the runways, year after year, fur has always been the hot accessory. In 2009 Michael Kors showed some crazy neon fur Russian hats paired with his impossibly chic garments. In 2011 Miuccia Prada paired colourful fur stoles with her baroque- inspired Spring line and this season Giorgio Armani showed some hot pink fur capes at his Fall runway show. As incredible as these runway fur accessories are, they're likey to set you back a small fortune. The more budget- friendly option, therefore, would be to go faux. Looking just as fabulous and more cost and animal friendly, a faux fur stole won’t do too much damage to your account but it will, guaranteed, take your fall style from dull to fabulous.

To get this Fashionistas look, try retailers such as Sportsgirl and ASOS. Sportsgirl has a very similar faux stole in rust for just $19.95 and ASOS has many great options in colours like red, green and pink for around $20.00 to $60.00 dollars. This Fall remember to stay warm and look fabulous.
