ACCESSORIES REPORT: Wrap Your Head Around This

Accessories Report

Lately it seems like October is the new April with plenty of showers; with all this rain it’s hard to get motivated to pick out a cute outfit to wear to class, often forcing yourself to roll out of bed and throw on some yoga pants and a sweatshirt. Lets not forgot about how the rain makes everyone’s hair messy and frizzy so instead of your typical braid to hold back those flyaways, I’ve got a better idea; its time to tame the rain with headscarves!

This Fashionista was clearly on the same page, as she was spotted rocking a cream with black skulls headscarf. Lately it seems like skulls are all the rage, plastered on tops, pants, backpacks, sweaters and especially on scarves. Skulls used to represent the dead and Halloween, in a gothic almost creepy way; however, the times have certainly changed! Now skulls represent an edgy yet chic new trend that are usually associated with the beloved fashion icon, Alexander McQueen. This skull rave has also been seen all over Hollywood, with the Kardashians most noted for always wearing their black and white skull scarves emphasizing a touch of glam.

I love that this Fashionista pulled her outfit together by wearing a black and gray long sleeve shirt, with a long beige opened coat with the sleeves rolled up, a pair of dark washed jeans and some cute black boots to finish it off. Also, I love how she’s not wearing just any long sleeve shirt, but a Fashion’s Night Out shirt! This fashionista did a good job incorporating the touch of black in her skull headscarf throughout her whole outfit.

Spotted: Headscarves have been seen all over the ready to wear runway shows throughout the years and this year is no exception! From New York to Milan Fashion Week there have been so many designers incorporating trendy headscarves into their collections. Coach, alice + olivia, Dolce & Gabbana and the noted Alexander McQueen, all seem to be wrapping their heads around scarves!
