Although the winter season hasn’t officially hit Dallas, PA just yet, I pretty much consider it here as we experienced our first snowfall. With glistening snow on the ground and twinkling lights covering storefronts, in my mind and the minds of other Misericordians, I think it is just about the best time of the year.
The time of year when classes are in full swing with assignments, tests and finals rounding the corner, there is minimal time to worry about what to wear. Thankfully, there are cute winter staples that always seem to look good. Infinity scarves, riding boots and fleece jackets are a must for college students in the northeast. And those are the three pieces this Fashionista pulled together for a put-together look as we near the end of the semester.
She paired her everyday black fleece with a cozy infinity scarf that I’m sure everyone owns and cherishes during the colder seasons. Her gray, wool accessory spiced up her outfit of dark tones including maroon, black and gray shades. These darker colors are perfect for the winter season.
If you’re interested in trying out something similar to this Fashionista’s look, start with finding a versatile colored scarf. Gap offers a chunky cable knit in two shades. The Cable Twist Cowlneck would be ideal for these cool campus days. American Apparel offers a similar style but with a little pop. The Circle Scarf comes in striped shades that would work perfectly with a solid colored coat. And, for those of us on a tight budget with Christmas shopping to worry about, check out Target’s Cold Weather Infinity Scarf. A perfect choice in a number of shades.
This perfect winter accessory would come in handy for a number of activities in the winter season. Whether it’s walking to class, searching for the perfect Christmas tree or shopping for the perfect gift, every girl should invest in this staple.
Spotted: Even Chanel uses infinity scarves for their fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear Collection, that must mean it’s a must for this time of year.
