If you don’t consider yourself fashion savvy or you don’t keep up to date with current trends, you can always find out what’s gracing the runways by checking out stylish and on-trend clothing stores. Stores like H&M and Mango, for example, always provide the Fashionista with trendy designer-like pieces for a fraction of the price.

Now I know this Fashionista’s two-toned trench is trending right now because I came across similar styles while perusing the net recently. Examples of the two-toned trend are ever present, like this contrasted biker jacket, or the more sophisticated two-toned boyfriend blazer

Seeing her trench immediately reminded me of this number from Dsquared². I love the double-breast detail and wind flaps that make you want to wear it even when it’s not cold out. A similar budget friendly style for the CollegeFashionista is this one from Bebe for a fraction of the price.

The two-toned trend is not only seen on trench coats. They may be more noticeable because in fall and winter weather everyone is wearing jackets.  Have your two-toned style in a tuxedo striped pant is a trend has been seen on stylish celebrities like Blake Lively and Miranda Kerr

Two-toning adds contrast to an outfit in the right places. They can make you look taller and they can make you look more curvy. Two toning also creates a focal point in an otherwise simple outfit.
