ACCESSORIES REPORT: These Boots Were Made For Walking

Accessories Report

One of the best things about fall besides pumpkin spice, crisp weather and cozy sweaters has to be boots! Boots are something that every Fashionista/o has in their wardrobe and counts down the days until they can wear them. This FIT Fashionista has such a unique pair of boots I just had to write about them.

When first spotting these boots I thought to myself that these boots scream FALL. The oxford lace-up design is definitely something we don’t see often but looks so good mixed together. Found at a shoe shop in Italy, they have a vintage/European feel. And the gray color works perfectly with any outfit.

I’ve been seeing tons of lace-up shoes recently. Laces work with both casual outfits and more dressy outfits. It’s a really fun detail. ALDO has a great pair of lace-up booties that have a tough feel but can work with anyone's personal style. Another trend I’ve seen lately has been the oxford. Johnston & Murphy has a pair with a similar design to this Fashonista's boots.

A great way to break out from the plain, basic black boot is to opt for a fun detail or design. Even mixing up the color shows you're not afraid to try something new!

Spotted: Alexander McQueen showed lace-up booties in his pre-fall 2012 presentation.

ACCESSORIES REPORT: These Boots Were Made for Walking

Accessories Report

Running late for class with my camera in tow, I never thought I would walk into this stylish Fashionisto. His unique and “cool dude” style stood out to me instantly and I was anxiously waiting for class to be over (while intermittently stealing glances at him) to ask if I could take his picture.

I love how effortless yet so put together he looked with a simple striped tank and faded ripped jeans, topped off with very stylish cherry, well worn in cowboy boots. This reminded me very much of the time when designers such as Dolce and Gabbana started featuring the cowboy trend on the runway.

Cowboy boots are funky, cool and they’re going to be here for a while. They evoke a rebellious streak in one who goes against the flow, exuding individuality.  Having been around for quite some time, these funky kicks can be found just about anywhere.  Find a consignment store for cheaper alternatives or go for more variety from stores that specialize in cowboy boots.

For this Fashionisto, cowboy boots look great tucked under the fitted straight legged jean. You could also go rogue and wear it over your skinny ripped jeans very much like the Fashionisto featured here.

For the Fashionista, have fun with it and wear your stylish boots with an above the knee dress to show your rebellious side and still manage to look fun and flirty.

Spotted: On the runway, Dolce and Gabbana featured the cowboy trend in their spring/summer 2010 Collection.
