When most of us ladies think of beaded jewelry, we all get flashbacks to our childhood in the '90s with big bead sets. We remember the times of hanging out with your friends after school braiding each other's hair while making bead necklaces in all sorts of wild colors and prints. However, today's beaded jewelry is elegant, vintage, bold or whatever style you want. The possibilities are endless with this trend.
I spotted this Fashionista rocking her maxi dress with a tied-up denim shirt, and I loved the way she added her beaded necklace. It has a beach-like look but can be worn outside of the shores. The great thing about beaded jewelry is that there are so many different looks and styles. If you are into the Navajo trend, then there are tons of necklaces at Urban Outfitters for that look, or you could try something different and go for a beaded headband. Hair accessories are everywhere this spring! Try taking a walk on the wild side and go for beaded footwear or maybe just a bold beaded cuff.
A great store (and a personal favorite of mine) for big and bold beaded necklaces would definitely be Anthropologie. They have a great variety of styles and colors that will definitely add a pop of color to your wardrobe. Beaded jewelry can also be a great D.I.Y project! Visit a local craft and come up with your own stylish designs.
Spotted: Roland Mouret’s spring 2010 ready-to-wear show incorporated big gold beaded jewelry. Every model wore the same necklace in different variations, such as length, but it complemented the colors in all the clothing.
