Whether we like it or not, the coming of winter means Fashionistas far and wide will have to settle for wearing boots almost every day. Stay calm though, there's no reason to let boots give you the winter blues! They come in all shapes, sizes, colors and styles, and when the standard calf-length boots just aren't cutting it for you, consider trying a shorter option. Take a page out of this Fashionista’s style book and try on a pair of ankle booties.
This Fashionista took advantage of the relatively warm temperatures this week to show off her pair of ankle boots. She's wearing a black leather jacket over a white shirt, a printed gray mini, tights and a complementing gray scarf. Because her outfit is made up of relatively lighter colors, her black boots really stand out yet still go well with the rest of her ensemble. While this Fashionista is a great example of how to rock ankle boots in the fall, there are even more ways to make booties work for the winter time. Tuck a pair of skinny jeans into army-inspired ankle boots and top it all off with a chunky sweater for a laid-back feel. For a date night with a twist, wear heeled booties with black tights and your favorite little black dress.
So there you have it, ladies. You don't have to settle for the dreaded winter uniform. It’s easy to inject life into your footwear and keep your style as fresh as ever.
