One thing northeast PA is known for is the brutal winters. Last year we walked away lucky with only a few storms to document. This year they are already saying it will be one for the records. With that in mind, every Fashionista should run out and invest in a pair of riding boots–or five. They are the perfect solution to having to trek through the rain, snow, sleet or whatever Mother Nature decides to throw our way. Plus, they are cute and work with pretty much any ensemble. I mean, everyone’s wearing them, from the Kardashian clan, to Cameron Diaz and Taylor Swift, so why not you too?
I spotted this Fashionista preparing for the winter weather and already sporting her tall boots. Embellished with buckles, they stood out from the average boot. She simply paired them with leggings and a loose fitted blue top–the number one class attire for the end of the semester. But riding boots can be paired with close to anything including skirts, dresses, jeans or leggings.
For those out there browsing the storefronts for the perfect pair try this pair from Tilly’s. The decorative buckles are similar to this Fashionista’s and the Military Women’s Riding Boot comes in two different color options. If buckles aren’t your thing, try Vince Camuto’s Finny boot. The stand-out zipper is eye-catching and the studs down the side add a little bit of bling. Interested in even more bling? Steve Madden’s Reggime boot comes in black with tons of studs for a hardcore, grunge vibe.
Whether it’s buckles, zippers or studs that catch your eye, invest in a pair of riding boots if you know what’s good for you in the cold. Don’t let Mother Nature get the best of you or your accessories.
Spotted: Designers like Nina Ricci, Saint Laurent and Missoni had models strut through their fall 2012 collection in riding boots proving they work for everyone.
