Oxblood red is without a doubt this year’s fall color. But, do you know what looks good with red? Different shades of red. This isn’t only my opinion. Top designers seem to agree, considering many fall collections presented their share of red pieces, some with different tones. The red seen in Valentino’s fall/winter 2012-13 purse collection is the exact same color as this Fashionista’s handbag, which is also not much different than Chloé’s purse collection. Diane Von Furstenberg presented royal red clutches, and Marc Jacobs showed off his oxblood handbags, which are very similar to Tory Burch’s resort purses. This in turn reminds us of Fendi’s dark red handbags. As you can see, the list is huge! Maybe this fall has 50 shades of red!

With any one of the label’s red colored purses, you can wear jean shorts and a white shirt and still manage to look classy. My point is proven by this Fashionista’s ensemble; notice how the rest of her look is pretty neutral itself. You can tell she decided to make her accessories do all the talking. Besides her purse, she is wearing some incredible sparkly sandals. So not only is she in tune with the season’s favorite color, but she has also invested in this year’s opulent trend, where more is best and sparkles have a huge say!

If you still don’t have a gorgeous red purse, here are great options: a messenger bag, a vintage purse, or a fringe satchel. Get inspired by these glamorous designers and fall in love with this seaon's classic hue!
