The verdict is in: spring 2013 will be clean cut and minimalist. This fall was all about opulence, so a transition into a simple look, such as black and white, might be a bit too hasty for some Fashionistas (it sure is for me). That’s where accessories come in; if our outfits are too shy, we pour or glamour into bracelets, earrings, purses and shoes. This stylish collegiate knew just how to work it; a gold purse changes a simple outfit into something more alive. It’s not that black and white isn’t gorgeous, but let’s face it, wouldn’t it look better with gold earrings, heels or a purse? I think so.
In the latest New York Fashion Week, Victoria Beckham and Oscar de la Renta presented gold metallic clutches. 3.1 Phillip Lim invested in a gold purse much similar in size and sparkle as this Fashionista’s bag. Michael Kors presented a beautiful gold purse with a crocodile print. Burberry Prorsum showcased a gold satchel with a snake print. Bvlgari invested also invested in animal, except theirs was a shoulder bag. Calvin Klein sported a little gold bag perfect for a night out!
It’s really no surprise that over seven designers have invested in this metallic hue; it’s not like were talking about anything less than a color as old as time, and as classy as the royal family. So, if you’re in the mood to make your minimalist look appear a bit more exciting, while keeping its touch of elegance, a gold purse is your answer.
