It’s the time of year again when we turn the clocks back to gain an hour. The sun may be going down earlier, but that doesn't stop Fashionistas from going out. This Fashionista was spotted on the McShain Bridge rocking a layered grunge look. The outfit's overall earthy tones gives the look an earthy vibe.
Choosing a winter jacket is a serious task. Worn over everything, wherever you go, be wise about your decision for it is quite the commitment. Being bundled in fall doesn't mean that you can’t do so with attitude. This year I challenge you to go with a not-so-expected color. You can still be neutral with choices such as army green, beige, mustard or maroon. These colors can be worn with everything, but help stand out against the traditional black peacoat. This Fashionista chose a long military green parka that is a drool worthy piece. It looks fantastic with her blue jeans, acid wash flannel and fringed Minnetonkas.
Her fringed booties add to the earthy vibe. They are the perfect length to pair with skinny jeans and high socks. Scratch the knee-high brown boots when booties seem to be all the rage this season. The small touch of a rustic gold pendant with red adorning’s picks up the pink in her flannel shirt. While she has a grunge quality to her look, the skinny jeans, fitted V-neck, pendant and beanie help balance out the volume in her tops. Her styling is effortlessly done. Making it's way from the slopes to the streets, beanies are becoming a hot commodity for fall not only to bear the windy days, but to add an urban touch to one's outfit. Remember, it's all about taking what you see and interpreting it in your own manner.
Jackets, hats and booties. You've got a list made, now go be adventurous with how you style these within your daily wardrobe.
