Class is in session everyone! If you’ve been paying attention, than this will come as no surprise when I say that this seasons hottest fall color is… wine! That’s right. Fall is when jeweled colors flock the shelves. The fall runways showcased this specific color trend not only within the clothing, but with makeup too. Fall is the season to experiment with all the deep-toned jeweled colors in any way. This Fashionista’s accessories were spot on with the wine trend!
The wine trend has been known under other names such as burgundy, bordeaux, merlot, chianti, garnet and oxblood. Keep an eye out for these when shopping, my dears. This Fashionista used the wine as an accent color in her ready to go rain attire. The peek-a-boo knee high socks and wine colored lip is the route she took when incorporating the trend into her outfit. Although a melancholy day on campus, the weather did not stop this Fashionista from being fabulous.
College doesn’t stop for a few raindrops, and neither does fashion. Regardless of what fall weather brings, a true Fashionista will always find a way to shine. She wears essentials that should be in every student’s closet. The umbrella is a must have for any scholar. This Fashionista’s umbrella is not only fashion forward, but also fully functional. It shades her from the rain, but doesn’t hide what’s beneath. The Fashionista purchased her bubble umbrella for ten dollars at Urban Outfitters. Quite the steal for the amount of times she’ll use it. It’s an accessory that is absolutely necessary and she chose one that showcased her individuality. When picking rain gear it’s important to pick a few exciting pieces, that way when it’s a gloomy day, you won’t be as despaired when picking out what to wear! The rest of her outfit is also very appropriate for the weather. Her Ellen Tracy trench coat is a beautiful staple in her closet. The trench coat is great to have not only for the rainy days, but to add a touch of elegance and mystery to any outfit.
This Fashionista hit spot on with her wine accessories. She didn’t let the weather get her down, and neither should you. Rain or shine, bring out the wine! A little cheesy, yes, but the hottest fall color is a force to be reckoned with. It really is quite divine.
Spotted: American and European designers alike were using wine inspiration for their fall trends. Ralph Lauren with burdgundy velvet pant suits, Tommy Hilfiger with burgundy leather along with Donna Karan and Yves Saint Laurent using wine colors this season.
