ACCESSORIES REPORT: Bold Is The New Black

Accessories Report

It’s that time of year… we are all looking for a change and a fresh start. My question: why wait for it to become a New Year’s resolution that never sees the light? Fashion right now is big, bold and bright! So dust off some old pieces or do a little holiday shopping for your closet. From a pair of pants to a simple necklace, there are so many ways to brighten up your look and keep it on trend for the season.

This Fashionista stood out in bright yellow skinny jeans. Colored denim has become the fashion craze over the last few months and this sunny pair is the perfect example of how to take a wardrobe staple and make it something even better. If you want to stick to more muted, fall colors, try these teal or red jeans from Seven7. Throw on some zipped-up boots and a cozy, oversized cable knit sweater and you’re set.

To go along with her yellow pants, this Fashionista donned a leather jacket layered on top of two different patterned tops, and a snakeskin print purse. Patterns and prints are all over the runways and everywhere in the stores. Don’t be afraid to mix and match them, especially those with bright pops of color. I love this sweater blazer from Free People. The Aztec print is huge right now, and it’s comfortable, casual and unique. All it needs is a classy tote or wallet with a similar texture to the one that this Fashionista had on.

My favorite part about this look are the accessories. Her shoes matched her bag and so did some of her bracelets! And speaking of jewelry… more, more, more! Bangles, statement necklaces and earrings add so much to an outfit. The best pieces are the kind that can be worn over and over again in so many different ways. So while you're doing your gift shopping over the next couple of weeks don't be afraid to try something new!

Spotted: Suno is known for their mixing and matching of colors, prints and patterns, and they didn’t disappoint on the fall 2012 RTW runway.
