Edgy and androgynous looks are trending all over the place lately, but sometimes it’s nice for us Fashionistas to bring back a little femininity.
I spotted this Fashionista on my way to class. I am personally quite the girly-girl, so her outfit caught my attention right away. The colors are soft and muted, and the fabrics are just as ladylike. Her white top has a bit of an eyelet pattern, and when paired with the soft gray pants and suede shoes, it becomes the perfect ensemble for a winter’s day in Savannah.
Of course, the outfit wouldn’t be complete without her accessories. Her scarf (or at least one similar to it) is going on my wish list this holiday season! The pink isn’t too strong and anything ruffled has a very Eloise at the Plaza touch. Sometimes we shy away from embracing our female qualities, but don’t be afraid to “think pink”! I absolutely love this scarf from Ralph Lauren. It’s airy and slightly sheer so it can take you right into warmer weather.
This Fashionita’s bag is my second favorite accessory. She definitely won me over with her outfit! It is the perfect size for keeping only your essentials in when going to class. The scalloped detailing is a perfect match for the ruffles on the scarf. It isn’t too flashy either, and the neutral color goes with just about everything! For those of us who need a tad bit more space, this ASOS satchel is just right. Sticking with the scalloped pattern, this Nanette Lepore metallic clutch is shiny and gold and perfect for Christmas! I wouldn't hesitate to assume that would make a good gift!
Last, but assuredly not least, are the shoes. This Fashoinista’s heels are to die for! The vintage feel that comes along with the t-strap and suede finish is classic and so stylish. There are quite a few pairs very similar to these shoes, including this pair from Urban Outfitters.
Bottom line: With a subtle vintage touch, lovely pastels and girly fabrics, you can paint the town pink!
Spotted: Lanvin took ruffles to a whole new level in the fall 2012 RTW collection.
