ACCESSORIES REPORT: Work Your Booties

Accessories Report

A girl can never have too many boots! Ankle, calf, knee and heeled, there are literally thousands of amazing boots you can choose from for the fall and winter season. Oftentimes, heeled boots and booties are overlooked due to their assumed impracticality for walking to class on a daily basis. Lucky for you, I’m here to convince you otherwise. A heeled bootie is an absolute must-have for any season and contrary to popular belief, a good bootie can be just as comfortable as your eighth grade UGGs.

This Fashionista is wearing her American Eagle Outfitters booties with bright blue skinnies, an oversized sweater and a comfy winter jacket. The heel of the bootie is about 2.5 inches, giving her just a little bit of height that is completely practical for walking to and from class. These shoes are great for adding just a little bit of height and giving the illusion that your legs are longer than they actually are. Try pairing these shoes with leggings or skinny jeans like this Fashionista. It continues that long, lean line of the leg and more importantly, shows off the bootie completely by hugging tightly to the top of the shoe.

It’s important to choose a neutral color for a bootie if you want it to be pretty versatile with your wardrobe. Black or brown booties will go with practically any outfit. The heel gives a ton of flexibility when it comes to working these shoes into a casual or dressed up look. Though booties have a bit of a heel, that doesn’t mean that they have to be uncomfortable. Try wearing them with a simple sweater to class or a dress for a night out. Either way, your feet are still going to feel comfy and who wouldn’t mind being a couple inches taller?
