ACCESSORIES REPORT: Winter Wool

Accessories Report

It is starting to get cold, very cold—see your breath when you walk to your 8 a.m. cold. And when it gets cold at Penn State, our eyes get used to seeing the classic, long down jacket. It is refreshing to see different types of coats on the Fashionista/os around campus.

I particularly love the wool coat look for guys. Back by popular demand, wool is coming around more and more, and not just for the typical peacoat. Wool has been one of the guy’s only choice for warmth. The popular wool coats now are classic with little stylish twists. Check out some wool jackets here at Nordstroms. Whether it be front zip, cargo pockets, zippers or a layered effect, the wool coat just became a lot cooler, or should we say warmer?

The oversize zippers on this coat add a not so typical detail. I also love the coat’s light gray color. Lighter color coats look great in the winter months in contrast to dark jeans or chinos. Even on your more casual days you can wear a zip-up or hoodie underneath the wool coat and still look stylish from the outside.

The oxfords are great too because they immediately make any outfit look more put together and polished. We all know guys love shoes too, so consider a pair of oxfords, Clarks or any other dressier looking but casual shoes for your next splurge. Here’s a great pair.

Topping the look off with a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and a striped scarf, this Fashionisto is ready to face the bitter cold and looking good while doing it.
