Who could have imagined how quickly this semester flew by? With finals in progress, I can’t get over the fact that this is my last post. I can’t express how much of a pleasure it was finding amazing Fashionistas that strut around UCONN’s campus. It sure has been a whirlwind of a semester! Before we all pack and move out for holiday break, I caught one last Fashionista showing off her winter wardrobe before she hit the books.
This Fashionista didn’t let finals dull down her style. She kept a relaxed look that consumes various accessories that we have seen around campus all semester long. She wore the fan favorites of black leggings, knee high socks and riding boots. To keep herself bundled up, she has a black long-sleeved shirt and a gray scarf. The one accessory that grasped my attention, however, was her gorgeous red quilted vest.
Vests have become a staple in many girls’ closets this season. This accessory is another layer that keeps your body warm during the fall and winter. They allow you to still show off your outfit, are easy to move around in and are perfect to thrown on when you are in a rush. I personally have a black puffer vest that I wear constantly when I don’t feel like wearing a jacket. Vests come in great colors, such as this Fashionista’s red one, which adds a pop of color to the rest of her dark outfit. Vests can either be worn to dress up or dress down an outfit depending on what you pair it with. They are great at providing drama or accessorizing a casual outfit. Find the perfect vest that keeps you cozy in the cold months because you will never want to leave home without it!
