A blaring sound pierces my ear drums. It is 7:55 am. Like lightning, panic rushes through my veins as I realize that I have hit snooze on my alarm five times! With only five minutes to spare before my first class, I rush to throw my hair into a bun. In the hopes that no one will notice that I have not washed my hair, I top off my bun with a fashion forward head wrap. This describes almost every Monday morning of my freshman year of college. My go-to for these instances would always be one of my printed head wraps. It was not until recently that I discovered the head wrap to be a fabulous hair accessory rather than a useful way to disguise my occasional bad hair day.
This Fashionista looks like she is ready for a night on the town! She styled her head wrap with a chunky necklace and simple earrings. I love how this style connoisseur mixed cream with a dark maroon top and black leggings with a leather strip down the side. For another party look I would suggest quilted, leather shorts, a cropped top and kimono paired with a spiked head wrap. There are several possibilities for rocking this look!
A casual way to wear this look would be with colorful scarves. Imagine jeans and a plain black T-shirt with a bright pink head wrap woven throughout naturally wavy hair. The beach would be a perfect place to try this look out also. Try a silk scarf tied around your head with stick straight hair and round Prada sunnies in a deep blue! How chic!
Spotted: Elle magazine features all sorts of head bands and wraps (including those of Sabina Les and Eugenia Kim) that are perfect for any occasion.
