Midterms have officially taken control of my life for the past week, and a little R&R is much needed. Needless to say, I cannot wait for the arrival of spring break. Although I am just going home for the week and catching up on sleep and the Real Housewives, spring break is generally a time that college students travel in groups to tropical locations for a fun-filled week. Warm sand, a cool turquoise ocean and a week with your friends, it couldn’t get much better than that if you ask me! As you pack your bags, keep in mind to include brighter colors to welcome the sunny skies!
I’ve spotted a Fashionista with a sunny state of mind. With a basic black blouse and a fun monochromatic printed pant, this Fashionista brings in a touch of turquoise through her accessories. The addition of the vibrant hue creates a stimulating dimension to her outfit. Her black and white look acts as a canvas for her accessories, and the bright turquoise of her flats took me right to the islands of Turks and Caicos. Her ballet flats are simple, yet completely functional when running out the door to class. Instead of a generic pair of black flats, this Fashionista opted for a bright pop of color creating a more visually appealing ensemble.
Although her turquoise flats are a refreshing element to her look, the real statement pieces, however, are this Fashionista’s stacked bracelets. Her thick turquoise bangle complements the delicate turquoise and periwinkle cabochon bracelet with crystal detailing. With an equally vivid nail color, this stacked set of turquoise bracelets makes for a winning combination.
Clearly a break filled with sunshine and sand is on this Fashionista’s mind as she takes her simple look to the next level with the addition of bright turquoise accessories. Swap out her blouse and pants for a maxi dress and strappy sandals, and this Fashionista is vacation ready!
