Another week, another snowstorm. The snow has been falling all over the country. This Fashionista is keeping cozy in the cold weather with a long cardigan, tank top, leggings and Hunters. She keeps her basic black and pairs them with a patterned cardigan. This outfit is one that is comfortable for hanging around the dorms, but still presentable to go to class in.
Hunters are essential for the winter, especially here in the Midwest. It is a stylish way to protect your feet from the snow. You can trudge through all the unplowed streets with ease and all without having to ruin your nice shoes. I also love Hunters because you can get boot covers to go along with them in multiple colors like our Fashionista is wearing in black. They will keep your feet extra warm during the cold months this winter.
Although they don’t keep you warm as Hunters, my favorite accessory for any kind of weather are bows. They can add a cute factor to any outfit. Our Fashionista wears a black bow with adorable scottie dogs on it. I have maintained a bow collection over the years because I would wear them everyday to ballet class with my bun. I’m a sucker for a bow with any sort of pattern or character, so naturally I spotted hers right away. I think anyone can rock the bow and I am so excited to see that they are making such a comeback.
Although a bow is a staple accessory for many prepster loving girls, this hair accessory isn’t just for girls laced in pearls. Hair bows can make your ensemble feminine, but they don’t have to just be for girly girls. It adds a subtle ladylike touch to even the edgiest outfit.
Spotted: Diane von Furstenberg incorporated large bows into her headpieces for her 2010 resort wear runway show. They gave a really fun vibe to the show!
