Accessories Report

In this week’s ACCESSORIES REPORT, I bring you one of the most underrated accessories of all time: a good ole’ pair of cheeky stockings.

As the seasons begin to change and the weather starts warming up after some months of constant chill, Fashionistas in the Florida capital are updating their wardrobe and dressing for the spring climate. Consequently, one of the simplest ways to transition your outfits is by accessorizing with a pair of tights or stockings, like this Fashionista has exemplified.

Perhaps one of the most resourceful qualities that stockings and tights have is that they serve as a foolproof way to transition from one period of the year to another. In addition, tights are most definitely an accessory you can play around and experiment with throughout the year. Hosiery comes in an array of patterns and fabrics, and they can be thrown on very easily to complete any outfit. There is no doubt that you can find the right style to fit in with the rest of your wardrobe. A similar pair of opaque thigh-high stockings, much like our Fashionista is wearing, can be found from alice + olivia.

Likewise, the rest of her outfit showcases her edgy and relaxed look. Her flannel top, much like this one from Aritzia, is the perfect add-on to an otherwise minimal outfit. The rest of her ensemble, like this short sleeved black crop top from G by GUESS, and also this black, fitted mini skirt from Free People, help to complete this casual look.

Accordingly, this Fashionista finishes off her look by accessorizing with a few delicate pieces of jewelry and some tortoise-colored sunnies. Her gold accents, like the Foreign Visitor ring and N-LUV necklace, both from rapper Kreayshawn’s collection for ok1984, are a fun little addition to her details. Similarly, her chunky heeled black booties aid in topping off her flirty look.

Spotted: Gold accents can be found in both Alexis Bittar and Anndra Neen’s fall 2014 jewelry collections.
