The high heel boot, a trend many wish to wear, but never round up the courage to do so. These past months as a first time CollegeFashionista Style Guru, I have seen some of the most daring yet brilliant outfits, from cartoon bags to creepers. Step out of your comfort zone ladies. It’s time to take to the streets because these boots were made for walking.
This Fashionista makes this trend look effortless with high-waisted shorts, a lace top and an oversized cardigan. Many of us look at high heels as a special occasion shoe, but this Fashionista shows that they can be an everyday shoe.
Be careful though for without the right essentials this outfit could go from fab to drab in a matter of minutes. I suggest sticking to neutral colors, such as black, brown or gray for daytime events because they won’t draw too much attention. If you are going to wear this look to class or to the mall,, I would stick to simple pieces such as an earthy floral dress or dark skinny jeans and a pastel peplum top. These pieces will keep the shoes looking classy and not trashy. The last key for success is confidence. If you believe in what you’re wearing so will others.
What are you waiting for? Last time I checked, people weren’t noticed for playing it safe. Be a little daring this fall on campus and try heeled boots.
Spotted: Neutral heeled boots were seen on Rebecca Minkoff’s ready-to-wear fall 2013 collection along with oversized coats.
