I’m not sure about the rest of you, but the weather in the northeast has been extremely frustrating lately. One day it is 31 degrees and cloudy, and the next day it is 50 degrees and sunny. All Fashionistas and Fashionistos out there have to decide what the proper attire is to accommodate all changes in weather. This Fashionista is comfortable and cozy in layers yet not too warm for a warmer winter day. I have always wanted to find the perfect way to pull off a skirt and boots. Riding boots with a skirt always look awkward and make an outfit look unfinished; however, these cowboy boots cut off her legs at the perfectly place and look adorable with her black skirt.
This Fashionista got her Ariat boots from Nordstrom. These boots come in a variety of heights, colors and cuts so that you can find the perfect pair that works with your outfits. If you’re looking for a cheaper pair of cowboy boots I would recommend this pair from Volatile. Both of these pairs can be worn with any type of dress as well as jeans, corduroys and even leggings.
If you’re looking for a fancier boot also with a western twist, there are many pairs out there that will go with this kind of look. Check out BC Footwear’s ‘Busy Body’ boot. This pair of boots can be worn on a casual day, a work day or for a night out. Even though they are a bit pricey, they will definitely be worth it in the end because of how often you will wear them!
Spotted: Cowboy boots were seen at the Versace fall 2013 ready-to-wear fashion show.
