Simplicity in one’s look is genius. Of course, if everyone in the fashion industry had very minimalistic taste, runway shows from Alexander McQueen would have never occurred. But, it is always a breath of fresh air when I spot a look that I absolutely love and not because it is bold and eccentric, but because the look is simple yet stylish. One should always be able to make an outfit that is simple and add little surprises in details of the look with accessories. This week’s Fashionista exudes the perfect example of simplicity through her soft and feminine look.
When I was walking behind this Fashionista on the street the other day, I was initially drawn to her pale pink, flowy maxi skirt. Especially with the D.C. city wind catching onto her skirt, her look was naturally eye-catching. Paired with a gray T-shirt, brown belt and simple yet romantic accessories, I knew this look would be the perfect example of being subtle yet so chic.
At first, I did not really notice any accessories except her brown combat boots, but as I looked closer, I found her jewelry so dainty and complementary towards her look. She wore a gold vintage monogram ring and dainty blue heart-shaped earrings. The heart earrings brought a more romantic feel to her look and added a subtle pop of color into the look which worked well with the more pastel colors in this ensemble. Rocking her framed glasses, the eyeglasses gave a flare of casualty to this otherwise dressed-up look and brought some casual charm to her look.
