It would be wrong if I didn’t mention all of the rain gear that I have been noticing since the beginning of this semester. Keeping it stylish under the grey skies can be a bit challenging. Yet, one of the most vital items that NIFT students are wearing to survive the crazy weather are wellies. On days when there’s nothing but rain, wellies are the go-to at any age and more primarily, a must-have.
On a wet Friday, I spotted this Fashionisto keeping it sleek in a primarily black ensemble and rain boots. For those of you who love black clothing and accent accessories, this Fashionisto should definitely be your inspiration. What I adore about this Fashionisto’s outfit is the way he has paired his black accessories with a plain, muted outfit. His look is captivating and has a biker boy flair to it. He also accented his look with an open ended gold neck piece. I love his black picks and how he confidently blended in a golden neck cuff from Forever 21. This Fashionisto is a truly a prime example of the expression, “clothes do not make the man.”
From his patterned coal black leather shoulder bag from Reebok to the tar black wellington boots, his sleek look says more than “I am sexy and I know it.” His cargo pants are also a great choice, especially for staying comfortable during a long day. His stone rings simply add to the zing and grunge of the style. Black toned fashion is always used by some of the most fashion forward designers such as Kawakubo, Owens, Yamamoto, Demeulemeester and even Chanel herself. It makes you look a lot more elaborate and dressy, yet daring. No Fashionisto’s wardrobe should be devoid of black!
If you want to follow in the footsteps of this Fashionisto, throw on a jacket, a pair of framed glasses or simply a belt. It is easy to wear black but it takes a bit of effort to wear the right accent accessories to mix up the style and define it as your own!
