Finding this Fashionista was like stumbling across a treasure trove of my favorite things. Shall we just start crossing them off the list: striped T-shirt, denim button-up, pleated skirt, black sandals and the perfect ombré. All of these pieces are brilliant on their own, but it’s the way this Fashionista put them all together that makes them all the more amazing. In my book, it honestly doesn’t get much better than this.
By now, we all know that I’m attracted to a good color scheme and this one is on point. This Fashionista plays with summery pastels, like pale pink and baby blue, but adds some black and brown throughout her accessories for some edginess. This look is so versatile and could be worn anywhere from a lunch date to an internship. I also love the contrast between the horizontal stripes on her T-shirt and the vertical ones on her pleated skirt. Texture is everything.
This Fashionista does a flawless job of combining a variety of different accessories. While most components of her outfit are girly and relaxed, her accessories are structured and offer the look a touch of masculinity. My favorite accessory has to be her glasses which suit her perfectly and exude an air of sophistication. Her Givenchy Antigona satchel is perfect to throw your wallet and sunnies in while adventuring around the city this summer. She finished it all off with a classic brown-strapped watch and a pair of cool black sandals.
Spotted: Chanel’s 2015 resort collection played with the juxtaposition between femininity and masculinity by taking ultra chic fabrics and creating pants to go under matching skirts and jackets. I adore the chunky statement necklaces, delicate headbands and angular clutches. Don’t even get me started on all of the floral. I think we’ve established that I have a weakness.
