Who says that beanies are only for the fall? Just because it’s hot outside doesn’t mean you are limited and constricted to spring’s bright colors, flowers and pastels. A true Fashionista isn’t afraid to wonder off the beaten path. Sometimes it is more fun to color outside of the lines. This Fashionista chose this cold weather accessory for a bright sunny day, and her choice couldn’t have been better.
Beanies can give anyone an urban flare. This streetwear item is blazing through every category of dress. But don’t be fooled it’s not just applicable to one category of style. David Beckham, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Nichole Richie, Miley Cyrus and Reese Witherspoon are a few celebs that have rocked a beanie. All of these celebrities have a different style. They all sport a beanie in a fashionable way proving that this accessory is not one dimensional!
For men I suggest you wear the beanie centered at the crown of your head so that it is tilted back more to show your hair line. Ladies, this looks best with longer hair pulled a little over your forehead, such as pictured here on this Fashionista. Nude colors like beige can always be paired with almost any other base color you decide to wear them with. Be drastic with near opposites. Pair a beige beanie with a baggy black top, a forrest green skirt and black and tan single sole pointy-toe heels. Also beanies have crossed paths with a few other current trends. Try and even edgier look wearing a studded beanie, such as the popular cross pattern. This would look great with trendy camouflage. The neon beanie, as spotted on Rihanna, is effortless eye candy you can add to almost any look. Wear the neon with neutral colors of solid black or white (a monochromatic outfit or not) to give it a stunningly elegant shock value. The beanie is literally the cherry on top of your delicious fashion flavored sundae of an outfit.
