Accessories Report

Every Canadian girl knows that nothing is more comforting in cold weather than a big comfy scarf and a Tim Hortons hot drink. Unfortunately since we all know this, it’s hard to be original in a crowd of comfortable knits. This Fashionista shows how to subtly stand out with her teal bandana peeking out of her beanie and plaid-lined Kodiak combat boots.

For some reason, we always remember to layer our clothing in the wintertime but we never think to layer our headwear. Why not experiment with your go-to beanie look and add a bandana? I’m obsessed with the new head scarves that have wires added into the top of them for a controlled bow.  This is such a perfect accessory to wear under a hat to add a unique pattern to your look, especially since you can control exactly where the ends of the scarf will fit.

A lot of shoe companies are releasing designs that feature a relaxed lace-up boot with a design printed on the inside if you’re not so much into the structured style featured here. Love the look of her boots but can’t afford to buy a brand new pair? Having patterned socks peek out of the top of your boots or bold leg warmers over the top of your boots will give a similar effect at a fraction of the cost.

She chose to keep her look simple with green hues varying from a teal bandana to a navy green coat to pear green in her scarf. Switch it up by adding in a bright-coloured accessory to balance out the cool green. Try a yellow scarf to show off your own personality in your outfit.

Spotted: Trager Delaney spring 2014 ready-to-wear shows you how to wear teal in other aspects of your outfit, from jackets to skirts. Experiment with this beautiful jewel tone and stand out this spring.
