Chuck Taylor’s may have been originally designed for the basketball court, but over the past century, they’ve transformed into a timeless accessory off the court. On college campuses, including Gonzaga, Chuck’s can be found on the feet of many Fashionistas and Fashionistos. Beyond looking fresh, Chuck Taylor’s are the perfect comfort accessory for any outfit, whether it be at a sporting event, in a classroom or out with friends.
I spotted this week’s Fashionisto hanging out after class and enjoying the sun. Fitting to the warm weather, he sported neon chubbies, Ray-Bans and a pair of Chuck Taylor’s as he long boarded around campus. This Fashionisto wanted a stylish yet comfortable look and knew he cold count on his Chuck’s to provide just that.
Comfort doesn’t come at the expense of style and color where Chuck Taylor’s are concerned. Because of their unique fashion, Chuck Taylor’s are intended for both men and women’s wear, but you can add your own personal flare when choosing a pair. Low topped or high, Chuck Taylor’s come in any color your heart may desire and creates endless combinations! Fashionistos may be more apt to stick with neutrals, such as white or black, but I urge you to add a pop of color to your spring outfit by accessorizing with a pair of red, yellow or even green Chuck Taylor’s like these.
Chuck Taylor’s are an essential accessory in every Fashionista’s and Fashionisto’s wardrobe. They have been around for over a century and are still kickin’ it as the perfect go-to comfort shoe.
Spotted: Calvin Klein’s fall 2013 menswear collection features casual shoes, paired with a variety of classy outfits, similar to the look of Chuck Taylor’s.
