There is nothing harder to master than the art of catching someone’s eye without really looking like you’re trying to do so. Cliché lines such as, “This old thing?” and “Oh, I just found it hanging in the back of my closet,” have been designed and beaten to death by the female desire to appear effortlessly fabulous, with the keyword being “effortlessly.” Whenever trying to achieve this goal of seeming naturally fashionable, black is the instant solution, and this particular Fashionista proved that to be true.
It was this Fashionista’s ability to accessorize her neutrals that made her stand out. She sassed up an otherwise basic pair of jeans and three quarter sleeve sweater with a chunky jeweled necklace paired with colorful flats. What I love about her look is that she wasn’t afraid to mix and match. She sported a necklace that hosted a bold color palette of blues, auburn and violet, but she didn’t stop there. This daring Fashionista accessorized with a burgundy suede flat shoe. A little bling goes a long way in accomplishing that effortless style we all yearn for. You won’t be hearing the words “This old thing?” come out of this Fashionista’s mouth— her outfit speaks for itself.
Spotted: This season is going to be filled with bold jewelry if the Akong spring 2014 collection has anything to do with it. You’ll be seeing lots of mixed and matched dazzling colors wrapped around the necks of every Fashionista in the upcoming months.
