As I flew home to Chicago for the holidays all I could think about was just how excited I was for the change of climate, mostly because I could finally wear my winter clothes. While it does cool off in Arizona enough to wear sweaters, nothing compares to the chill of Chicago’s winters and this year was no exception. While I was not a fan of the cold weather, I was quickly able to find the silver lining in my situation: winter trends.
This Fashionista was spotted in an oversized knit sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. She then accessorized her outfit with a pair of black studded combat boots, a skull bracelet and a large gold and turquoise ring.
While combat boots have been on the rise for quite some time now, the studded embellishment on them is a new twist. Combat boots are both fashionable and practical; they’re a new way to look edgy and chic while still protecting your feet from the harsh weather.
While combat boots have always come in many different colors and styles, the studded detailing on the boots not only makes them unique and gives off more of an edgy feel, but they also draw more attention to her shoes making people turn their heads in her direction with envy.
Overall, this Fashionista not only rocked the studs, but rocked the winter look altogether. While the weather in Chicago may be frightful, the winter trends are only improving as the Fashionistas are all out on the town making a statement and sporting their new winter clothes.
Spotted: Diesel Black Gold’s fall 2013 ready-to-wear collection was full of pieces embellished with studs.
