Accessories Report

In this week’s ACCESSORIES REPORT I found Fashionistas in the Florida Capital transitioning their style from winter to spring.

As the weather begins to warm up and the combat boots come off, Fashionistas at Florida State University are updating their style just in time for the spring heat.

To begin, this Fashionistas minimalist-chic outfit, composed of a pair of medium-washed jeans, much like these from 7 For All Mankind, can work for both going to class as well as running around town. Similarly, her long sleeve striped top, much like this one from Free People, can be dressed up or down depending on the pair of jeans or trousers.

In addition, this Fashionista shows us that you can look stylish and also help the environment by rocking an adorable pair of studded loafers made from biodegradable plastic. Her flats, made by Brazilian shoemaker Melissa, are not only comfortable but they are also helping the planet, one pair of shoes at a time. This Fashionista’s particular pair of loafers can be found here on the Melissa website.

Likewise, her other accessories are comprised of a few delicate rings and a long necklace, as well as a very practical satchel-style purse. Small, little rings, like the ones seen on this Fashionista, are perfect for every day wear and are not too difficult to match with your other jewelry. Her purse, like this lovely caramel-colored one from Sole Society, is not only stylish but also practical, and can accommodate a tablet or a notebook.

In the end, what this Fashionista shows is that you can pair off a casual, relaxed outfit with a few subtle accessories and make it totally chic for every day wear.

Spotted: Studded footwear is all the rage on the spring 2014 runways, as can be seen with these styles from AGL and Brian Atwood.
