ACCESSORIES REPORT: Strapping Up for Spring

Accessories Report

Sandal season is upon us Fashionistas. As are those other end-of-the-year exams that are ever present on our minds these last few days of school: finals. But let’s take a break from studying and focus on something just as pressing in a different aspect of your life: your spring wardrobe.

This Fashionista is wearing a variety of accessories that are right for the warmer temperatures we are finally experiencing. Her sandals are especially fitting for this time of year, with her toes covered, but still showing some skin on her feet. The combination of the black heel and ankle strap ground her shoes and show off the silver studs on the tan straps in the front of the shoe. A pair of ankle-strap sandals is the right choice for this time of year on campus, as long as the rest of your outfit is appropriate for the spring as well. Try a neutral pair that will go with every outfit, or if you are feeling a bit more daring, Kenneth Cole offers a metallic caged-toe sandal that is similar to this Fashionista’s.

Cheetah print is a bold print that can be worn as a neutral in most outfits, and this Fashionista strikes the right note mixing her casual blazer with classic black leggings and white T-shirt. Her other delicate gold accessories include a thin and a chunky gold chain bracelet, a ring and a watch, which all combine in harmony to evoke the feeling of casual luxury while on campus. Topping it all off is her beaded black headband, which is versatile enough to complement the other accessories she’s wearing without overpowering her outfit or prints.

With classes almost a thing of the past, let a little summer start to slip into your wardrobe with a pair of strappy sandals perfect for walking to class while dreaming about those beach days ahead.

Spotted: Banana Republic jumped into an early summer with their spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection, featuring fresh, all-American styles, including chic ankle-strap footwear.
