Although summer, the warmest and rainiest time of the year has come to an end, that doesn’t mean the rain has stopped. With places to go and classes to attend, the rain shouldn’t stop you from getting to events on time while in style.
When getting ready for a rainy day, comfort is key. You want something that is cozy for class, but not messy. This Fashionista doesn’t let the rain get in her way of getting to class on time and looking great while doing it!
What drew me to this Fashionista’s outfit was the bright yellow raincoat and oversized shirt, with classic black leggings and a patterned scarf. The yellow raincoat added a pop of color to her easy to wear and simple colored outfit. Every girl’s wardrobe consists of comfy black leggings and the scarf adds a nice personal touch. Now is a great time to buy scarves since it’s wintertime! If you’re looking to emulate this look when it’s cold out, add knee-high socks.
What I also liked about this Fashionista’s outfit choice was her rainboots. Hunter Boot has designs that really come in handy in a city that has many rain showers. They are easy to put on and are plain so anything goes with them. This Fashionista was wearing green ones, but there are different color options such as black, if you want to keep it simple.
If it is raining when it’s time to go out for dinner, swap the oversized shirt with a nice tank and a denim jacket and it’s the perfect outfit for going out with friends when the weather is rainy.
A day in the rain also requires an umbrella. The right umbrella should show off your style, using your favorite color or a cool print. This Fashionista’s umbrella has her sorority’s letters on it with a stripped pattern.
Hope for no rain showers, but don’t let the drizzle get to you!
