Accessories Report

Spring might not come early this year, but I say why not throw in bold colors to brighten up your day? Can you tell I am so ready for spring? We were having 60 degree days in Pennsylvania but the snow is back on track, keeping us cold and gloomy. I am so done with the stormy weather!

More or less, I feel a bit at ease seeing loud prints and neon colors in Fashion Week. That way, I feel like spring might come faster. Two of my favorite collections this year were from Céline and Prada. There were a lot of bold colors all over the beautiful models. I love the mixture of the funky prints, colors and patterns.

Stepping away from the runway to the campus walkway, this Fashionista clothed herself with a retro ’90s sensation. She is layering a leather fringe jacket with a black sweater. She uses small touches of hot pink draping from her lipstick to her backpack from NASTY GAL to the athletic Jordan shoes. She perfectly aligns with the spring trend of neon pop colors. The short haircut mixing with pink and dark red colors give an extra edge to this riot girl look – not to mention the audacious piercings.

This stylish Fashionista accessorizes her punk rock outfit with a Forever 21 spiky headband. Check out similar headbands on their website. In short, I am happy to see the ’90s trend is coming back but I am happier that this Fashionista paired it with her own style.

Spotted: The beautiful bright colored backpacks are on the Prada’s spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection with a strong artistic element that shows inspiration from the early nineties.
