Accessories Report

This winter has not been a nice one for anyone across the country. Winter has brought us snow, snow and more snow. Even the warmer states are experiencing snow this season. Not to mention the temperature’s dropping to negative numbers and the wind chill. Even though it’s only February, I think it’s safe to say we are over the snow and the cold. We want to leave the cold behind and catch a case of spring fever. I can’t even tell you how happy I’ll be when the spring weather comes.

I spotted this Fashionista on Michigan Avenue where everyone is always walking to the buildings on campus. I like how she mixes spring and winter items together. She has a light, lace dress and pairs it with black to keep with the season. She layers tights and thigh high black socks to keep warm. They go along perfect with her lace up booties.

This is a perfect way to wear spring dresses when the weather isn’t warm. So don’t be afraid to break those little sundresses out of the closet. She wears a cardigan and coat over the dress.

This Fashionista has an obsession with rings. Her larger gold rings were her grandmother’s. They came from her costume jewelry box. I think that these rings can really make a statement. You’d be surprised what kind of gems you can find rummaging through your relatives’ old jewelry box. I know I have all kinds of jewelry that were my mother’s as a teenager. She also wears three midi rings. I think that midi rings add an edge to your typical jewelry pieces. Mixing new and old can give the right balance to your outfit.

Spotted: Chanel isn’t afraid to pile on the rings including the midi rings in the fall 2013 couture collection.
