Boston is getting colder and this means a whole new accessories wardrobe! Scarves, hats, mittens and more are here to stay this season and I am looking forward to seeing how Boston University’s Fashionista’s work it down Comm ave. this season!
This Fashionista gives us a winter fashion statement! A huge fluffy hat not only keeps your ears warm but it also gives your outfit something special. The one qualification this hat must have is that it matches your winter coat so I would follow this Fashionista’s lead and go with a neutral color so you can wear it with multiple coats. This hat is a winter staple for your closet because it is the essence of the winter and holiday season.
This statement hat is not the only thing this Fashionista is doing right. The bulky scarf that she pulls of flawlessly is something that I am going to go and copy myself! It is essential to find a scarf that not only is warm but also can be used for utility. You cannot walk outside in Boston without a scarf so you might as well make it worth it! I love this new trend of bulky scarves that you can wrap around dozens of time.
Lastly, notice the high socks that this Fashionista is wearing under her riding boots. Don’t you just hate when your socks get pushed down from your boots or even worse, your feet are freezing? This is why I love the trend of wearing high socks under your boots. Again, another fashion statement that is used for its utility. You can use a neutral like this Fashionista or you can spice it up and get a bright hue to liven up your winter ensemble. J.Crew has some great socks that are both warm and adorable!!
An adorable hat, a fashionable scarf and some warm socks are just the start of a fabulous winter in Boston! I would also suggest picking up some mittens or gloves. I recommend texting gloves!! I can survive without texting from class to class!
Spotted: J.Crew is setting the winter scene with these bulky scarves!!
