If you aren’t familiar with rain boots by now then you probably live somewhere much drier and nicer than the Midwest. Not only do they serve as snow boots in the winter, but they serve their original purpose when the April showers start to roll in. They’re a staple. There’s nothing quite as disheartening as walking out into the drizzle, armed with an umbrella to stay dry, only to get soaked through to your feet because your footwear isn’t waterproof. While the idea of waterproof footwear may seem a little less than glamorous, this Fashionisto proves that a little moisture doesn’t have to ruin the day.
It’s easy to find a Fashionista on campus rocking a pair of rain boots, but how often is a male student sporting the rubber footwear? The easiest way for a Fashionista/o to keep a collected look is to find a pair of boots that are both pulled together and mature. This student’s classic black Hunter boots are more than appropriate for multiple outfits, making it well worth it to invest in a pair of quality boots. They will last forever and there isn’t any fear of a hole or leak cropping up in the middle of the day.
If plain black, gray or classic green isn’t as adventurous as you’d like to be, scores of brands offer a wide variety of options in the way of prints and styles. With animal print ruling the runway this spring potentially this Hunter snake print pair or this cheetah print Capelli New York wedge rain boot will add some spice.
Rain boots alone aren’t going to make this outfit and our Fashionisto knew well enough to know that a classic leather belt and necklace would do the trick to finish the outfit. Men’s neckwear can be tricky to find, but this necklace from ASOS gives a subtle tribute to the spike and triangle trend without being over the top. It’s also very gender neutral, so don’t be afraid to rock this as well, Fashionistas!
What can be gathered from this Fashionisto’s outfit is that sometimes a little weather challenge can really lead to some of the best pieces in our wardrobe.
