Accessories Report

In these winter months, it feels like we have to force ourselves to throw color in our wardrobes. Who says we have to? I spotted this Fashionista walking home from class, and immediately fell in love with the way she effortlessly layered her oversized white button-down under her warm black sweater. It gives that “I can pull random things out of my closet and still look fabulous” vibe. Jealous? I know I am. However, what truly made me envy her wardrobe were those beautiful boots!

For most of our lives, it has been a fashion faux pas to mix black and brown (and don’t even get me started on navy). In the past, no Fashionista would ever be caught dead mixing any of these colors. Nowadays, people have been dabbling with mixing black and brown leather. It started with girls wearing brown saddle shoes with black tights — only to be rocked by the most daring Fashionistas. Now this bold statement seems to be making its way into everyday fashion. Lately, everywhere I turn I am seeing black boots with brown color blocking. They are the perfect way to polish off an outfit, and bring it all together. I have been searching for the right pair to add to my own wardrobe. These Michael Kors boots are definitely the pair that will make me finally bite the bullet.

We have always loved leopard print in every form: scarves, dresses, jackets, shoes— you name it and it’s better in leopard print. It is the perfect staple to jazz up an otherwise simple ensemble. The leopard scarf takes this outfit from office-wear to a stylish statement. Before you know it, your classmates will be taking notes from you rather than the teacher! You can also try this adorable leopard print clutch to make any night out look fabulous. If you’re interested in trying a different animal print, try this adorably sassy snake print scarf!
