The sun is shining and everyone on campus has only one thing on their minds: Spring Break. Which means sweatpants, food stained t-shirts and sleep deprived college students are on the horizon. Just when I had given up on fashionable college students during finals week, I spotted this Fashionista in top to bottom study break approval accessorized in standout statement rings.
Statement rings are a favorite accessory of mine. No longer the simple gold and silver bands, rings draw instant attention to your hands by adding the perfect finishing touches to your outfit. The envy of your wedding finger, statement rings can be found in bold colors, geometric shapes, and animal heads—what’s not to love?
Stacking your rings has also been growing in trend over the past few years. A great thing about rings is that there is no correct order to wear them, it is completely based on your fashion preference. When it comes to stacking your rings however, there is still such a thing as one too many. Stick to one color scheme to prevent your hands from being too distracting or impractical. If you have more than one statement ring, spread them out and place one on each individual finger. Stack no more than 3 ringers per finger, and 4 or 5 rings per hand. Remember, when in doubt less is more.
This Fashionista chose to decorate both hands with animated ring styles. Her linked owl ring from Little Tokyo in L.A. adds a quirky, yet fashionable take on her outfit, while her infinity and bow rings are from Etsy and ALDO. Searching for some unique finger-wear? Websites such as Brandy Melville or Free People have a great selection of rings and other eye-catching jewelry pieces.
Spotted : Oh, oh, oh; Balenciaga liked it, so he put a ring all over it during his spring runway show.
